Description of activity: The site is intended for the construction of civic amenities – specifically, sheltered housing. Its layout and operational design reflect this. According to the client’s specifications and requirements, it is assumed that the clients of the facility will be people capable of independent living within a small group. These will therefore be residents who do not require regular assistance, supervision, or medical care. The main element of the solution is four sheltered housing buildings, designed in the form of family homes. This approach respects the character of the surrounding development, which consists mainly of family homes. The buildings are situated on a rectangular floor plan, with a cut in one of the gables, creating spatial relief and a natural direction of views. The roof structure is designed as a gable roof with sheet metal roofing. In parts of buildings A and C, it will be supplemented with roofing foil and photovoltaic panels. All buildings are based on the same design principle, but each of them differs in the layout of the building openings and color scheme – for example, window frames or facade details.
