On the second Sunday of May, Stropkov square was filled with running enthusiasts who were eager to take part in the oldest sporting event in the region for the 37th consecutive year. The competitors ran half-a-marathon route (21 097 m) on an asphalt road which led from Námestie SNP via Cintorínska, A. Hlinku, Chotčanská, then Chotča and finally Bukovce. Approximately 550 meters past Bukovce, the runners turned back and continued via the same route back to Námestie SNP.

The whole event was organised for charitable purposes, with the money reward being donated to the non-profit organisation Dobry Anjel.

Nika Čorbová, born in Stropkov, came first in the 20 km run.
